Mi. 1,351: Rapid City, Sd

A lot and a little happened between Kansas City and Rapid City. Maybe the sky almost swallowed us whole? Maybe lightning tickled our car? Maybe a deer wanted to play hide and seek with us on the highway? Maybe we found a stretch of time and space where MJ is still alive?

All I know for sure, is that after roughly, 11hrs of driving, we were turned away from 5 hotels/motels/inns....only to end up at the Thrifty Motor Inn at 1am. This morning, Ellen has a mysterious rash, and I may smell like pee. We will never be the same.

Just taking off from Kansas City for Day 2 of our cross-country adventure. Met up with Nic Krismunando and Michael Parker last night for a delightful evening of BBQ and beer, not to mention the lush accomadations of the Drury Inn, just adjacent to the majestic KC Royals Stadium. Good luck with the rest of the drive to Philly, boys! Godspeed, and things of the like.

As for the Elles, we're Rapid City bound! : )
